Shortcode Connection - via Keyword
FireText works with any shortcode using SMPP client v3.3 and v3.4 and HTTP SMS GATEWAY Protocol to receive MO and send MT texts. Sounds complex hey?! Don't worry, we took the hassle out of it, you can register for a KEYWORD on EZTexting.com's shortcode popular shared shortcode number 313131 for USA and 393939 for Canada, and start sending and receiving SMS Messages right away.
Follow the steps outlined below on how to get a keyword and connect it with your FireText Software:
- Registering for a Keyword on EZTexting.com
- Submitting the Keyword to FireText Servers to enable your connection.
Server connections are completed in about 2-4 Hours once submitted. Your audience will send an sms message to "YOURKEYWORD Hey there Text to Screen!" to the phone number 313131 for USA or 393939 for Canada.
You will require a purchased FireText License to enable your Shortcode Connection.
Visit the Shared Shortcode services' Website EZTexting.com.
Select the Try for Free button, and follow the steps to signup for an account. You won't require a credit upon signup, but you will require a credit card to purchase a KEYWORD on their shortcode 313131 for USA or 393939 for Canada.
Signing up for a EZTexting.com KEYWORD
Once you've created an account, signin to your admin panel and select Rent / Edit Keywords.
Once you've rented your keyword, you will need to submit the information to us by filling out the form below, we will register your information within our FireText Servers.
Fill out the form with your EZTexting Info.
We'll take care of the rest
You will receive an email in 2-4 hours with a MessageAdministrator.config file attachemnt, it will contain all your settings for your shortcode connection. You will need to place this file within your C:/FireText System/. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk mail folders incase it got caught by your spam filters.
